After having been treated by two chiropractors, for nearly four years, I switched to Lester Ponce in March of 2006. Since being under Lester's care, my run times have significantly improved, IT-band problems, and other aches and pains I had during or after long runs...now are nearly non-existant. Lester also prescribed the use of the Barefoot Science foot care system which has noticeably improved my fallen arches, at a cost that is a fraction of the orthotics I had been wearing for over seven years. Seven weeks ago I put myself in your care. I was suffering from many aches and pains including severe heartburn, high blood pressure, problematic knees and joints, and sleep deprivation - a condition that plagued me for eight years or more.
As a result of a middle ear infection I was left with a high blood pressure reading of 160/120. My physician immediately prescribed a drug to take. Over the years, I had worked hard to cultivate my interest in martial arts and a career in fitness and was both physically and emotionally devastated after being run down by a car one evening while walking to meet a friend after work.
The ensuing months were torturous. On a good day, I could walk with the assistance of a walker while a bad day would leave me crumpled on the floor incapable of either picking myself up or crawling to get help. The pain was relentless. I was only 33.
